The GTAsyslog installer installs GTAsyslog, DBmanager and LogView. GTAsyslog
is configured in DBmanager, allowing the user to select logging options -- how
the GTAsyslog and LogView utilities operate, and how GTA Reporting Suite
accesses recorded data.

GTAsyslog automatically writes log data to a circular file. Once at maximum,
the file begins to overwrite log entries from the top.

DBmanager is a utility for GTA software that helps maintain databases. It
performs backups; purges data and restores data from backup files; configures
the GTAsyslog; imports and exports from ODBC-compliant databases; and
contains an interface for registering GTA Reporting Suite. DBmanager's
database functions are for use with GB-Commander and GTA Reporting Suite.
Select DBmanager from the GTA sub-menu of Windows Start Menu.

LogView is a versatile cross-platform Java log viewer. Use the separate
installer for workstations where GTAsyslog will not be running, but access to
logs is desired.

REQUIREMENTS

     GTAsyslog and DBmanager must be installed on the same host machine.

     GTA Reporting Suite requires that GTAsyslog be installed and running. If
     GTAsyslog stops, GTA Reporting Suite will no longer be able licensed to
     retrieve data. 
     
     GTAsyslog server requires Windows NT 4.0, 2000, 2003 or XP.

     In addition to the GNAT Box system requirements, LogView needs a system
     that conforms to the latest Java requirements, Java version 1.4 or later.
