LIMITED HARDWARE WARRANTY

The Limited Hardware Warranty (“warranty”) for Global Technology Associates, Inc. ("GTA") firewall product (Product) covers parts and labor against defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year ("warranty period") after the original date of customer purchase.

  1. Limited Warranty: For a period of one (1) year from the original date of purchase from GTA or its local representative supplier, GTA warrants that the Product will be free from material defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty only covers the hardware components and does not cover any software licensed with this product. Please refer to the End User License Agreement (“EULA”) included with the Product for your rights and obligations with respect to the software.

    This Warranty does not cover losses or damages to the product that occur as a result of (1) acts of God; 2) improper installation or maintenance; (3) unauthorized repair, alteration, or modification; (4) misuse, neglect, or accidental damage; (5) improper environment; (6) excessive or inadequate heating or air conditioning or electrical power failures, surges, or other irregularities; (7) attempted repair by any party other than GTA; 8) loss or damage during transit to GTA; 9) any cause other than normal commercial application for which the product was designed.

    This Warranty is void and GTA shall have no obligation hereunder, if the identification markings and/or warranty seals on the product have been removed, defaced, or altered.

    This Warranty extends only to you, the original purchaser. It is not transferable to anyone who subsequently purchases the Product from you.

  2. Remedies: GTA’s liability and your exclusive remedy shall be, at GTA’s option either repair of a defective product with new or reconditioned replacement parts or replacement with an equivalent product free of charge.

    Labor: During the warranty period, GTA will repair defects in material or workmanship in the Product at no charge. After the warranty period, you must pay for all labor charges.

    Parts: During the warranty period, GTA will supply, at no charge, new or rebuilt replacement parts in exchange for defective parts of this Product. Any replacement parts will be warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period or ninety (90) days from installation by GTA, whichever is longer. All exchanged parts under this warranty will become the property of GTA.

    GTA will not be responsible for return of or damage to any software, firmware, information or data contained in, stored on, or integrated with any returned Products.

To utilize this limited warranty, please contact GTA to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) by

  1. emailing your request to GTA Customer Support at support@gta.com,
  2. calling GTA Customer Support at +1-407-482-6925, or
  3. faxing your request to GTA Customer Support at +1- 407-380-6080.

Once the RMA number has been issued, return the product to GTA, freight prepaid and insured, since GTA is not liable for loss or damage during transit. You must return a proof of purchase in the form of a bill of sale (which is evidence that the Product is within the warranty period) and a clear description of the problem experienced. Be sure to include your return address information.

Product must be properly packaged in the original packaging and double boxed inside an outer shipping carton with a minimum of two inches of cushioned packing material on all sides. The RMA number must be prominently visible on the outside of the box. PLEASE NOTE: GTA WILL NOT ACCEPT WARRANTY RETURNS WITHOUT A RMA NUMBER. Customer is liable for damage sustained during transit, if improper packaging caused the damage. Return of the repair Product will be at GTA expense via ground parcel shipment. GTA HEREBY DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER EXPRESS AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES FOR THIS PRODUCT, INCLUDING THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. GTA'S LIABILITY, IF ANY, FOR DAMAGES RELATING TO ANY ALLEGEDLY DEFECTIVE PRODUCT SHALL UNDER ANY TORT, CONTRACT OR OTHER LEGAL THEORY, BE LIMITED TO THE ACTUAL PRICE PAID FOR THE PRODUCT. IN NO EVENT SHALL GTA BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL OR INDIRECT DAMAGES OF ANY KIND EVEN IF GTA IS AWARE OF ANY POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Some states or provinces do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary from state to state or province to province.

This Warranty will be governed by the laws of the state of Florida. If any provision of this Warranty is found to be invalid or unenforceable, then the remainder shall have full force and effect and the invalid provision shall be modified or partially enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law to effectuate the purpose of this Warranty. This is the entire agreement between GTA and you relating to the contents of the package, and BY USING THIS PRODUCT YOU AGREE TO THESE TERMS. No change or modification of this Warranty will be valid unless it is in writing , and is signed by GTA.
