RELEASE NOTES HISTORY

These notes cover a patch release of GB-Commander. Release
notes for subsequent versions can be found at GTA's website, www.gta.com.

GB-Commander 1.0.1 includes the following versions of GTA products and utilities:

     GTA Reporting Suite      1.0.2 c
     GTAsyslog                1.0.3 b
     DBmanager                1.0.4
     LogView                  1.0.0

Patch Level C introduces a new version of DBmanager and GTAsyslog to
address an installer issue.

                             UPGRADE NOTES
                                                              
If upgrading from a previous GTA management software program or reporting
package, including a previous version of GTA Reporting Suite, de-install all
of the components before installing GB-Commander 1.0.1 and GTA Reporting Suite 1.0.2.


GTA Reporting Suite users can now choose from a list of ODBC-compliant
databases. The complete list of supported databases can be found on
www.gta.com.

     1.   GTAsyslog will not write to the database if the database is not
          up and running before GTAsyslog starts. SYS102915

          Resolution:
          GTAsyslog now periodically checks the database status. 

     2.   GTA Reporting Suite sometimes loses its license. SYS1021046
          
          Resolution:
          GTAsyslog now updates license entry when database starts.

     3.   Multiple copies of GTAsyslog are able to write to the same
          database, causing licensing conflicts. SYS1021156

          Resolution:
          Only one GTAsyslog is allowed to write to a given database. 
                   
3.   DBMANAGER

     1.   Grey out the Firewalls section of the GTAsyslog Settings screen
     	when not in licensed mode. DB1031225

3.3  Bug Fixes

     1.   Full Restore does not work correctly: 'Cannot insert a
          duplicate key into unique index bandwidth_pkey' error. DB102848 

          Resolution: 
          Bandwidth table is now cleared during purge, so that duplicate
          records do not exist.
     
     2.   Some event log messages have invalid event IDs. DB1031170

          Resolution:
          Event log messages now have valid event IDs.
          
     3.   Opening About Box interferes with GTA Reporting Suite license.
     	DB1031232

          Resolution: 
          GTA Reporting Suite license is no longer affected by opening

     1.   Running Charts and Reports on multi-byte versions of Windows
          will crash GTA Reporting Suite. RS102918
     
          Resolution: 
          Fixed multiple localization of a title field.
