|
| How does GTA handle VPN licensing? |
| There are two types of licensing: VPN
connections between two firewalls and
VPN connections between a mobile client
and the firewall.
All commercial GTA firewalls support
IPSec VPN. There is no limit (other
than the number of users supported by
the respective firewall product) to the
number of users that can utilize a VPN
between two firewall products.
Licenses for Mobile VPN clients are
handled on a per-user basis. Mobile
Client VPN is supported on all GTA
firewalls except GB-Pro. The GB-1000,
GB-Flash and RoBoX-25 ship with one
user license of GNAT Box Mobile
VPN Client. GNAT Box VPN Client is sold
individually or in multi-packs. The VPN Client activation
code is
established based on the number of
VPN Clients purchased. This
allows the GTA Firewall to control the
number of concurrent VP connections.
While the VPN Client software maybe
installed on several remote machines,
only the number of VPN clients allowed
under the VPN Client license will be
able to contact the firewall at the same
time.
NOTE: By default the RoBoX 10-user
version does not include any VPN
capabilities. A VPN option must be
purchased to activate this feature.
Once activated it provides the ability
to do site to site VPN and includes one
user license for the VPN Client software.
