GTA Announces GNAT Box System Software Version 3.3
Orlando, FL – September 20, 2002 – Global Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA), a worldwide leader in cost-effective network security solutions, today announced the release of GNAT Box System Software Version 3.3. This latest version will be available for the entire line of GTA Firewall products, including GB-1000 Firewall/VPN Appliance, RoBoX Firewall Appliance, GB-Flash Firewall System, and GB-Pro Firewall System.
GNAT Box System Software version 3.3 contains numerous enhancements including increasing the number of concurrent connections to 128,000, formatting log information in the NetIQ WebTrends WELF format, improved content filtering options with GTA’s Surf Sentinel and local allow/deny lists, improved PPPoE performance and SNMP support for third party SNMP managers.
The addition of Surf Sentinel content filtering is a result of GTA’s the OEM agreement with Cerberian, Inc. announced earlier this year.
"Many of the improvements in version 3.3 of GNAT Box System Software are a direct result of customer feedback,” said Paul Emerson, President and CEO of GTA. “GTA’s commitment to providing the most features for the money spent is evidenced through the addition of major enhancements in version 3.3. Once again, GTA offers one of the best price/performance ratios in the firewall/VPN marketplace.”
GNAT Box System Software Version 3.3 will begin shipping on new units on or before September 30, 2002. It will be available at no charge to customers with a GTA support contract or annual maintenance agreement. Users who have purchased a GTA firewall on or after August 5, 2002 are also eligible for an upgrade at no charge. Other users should contact your local GTA channel partner or email firstname.lastname@example.org for information and pricing of upgrade options.
